Meet the Artist

I’m Diaz, cursed by style, but I don't let it enslave me. To spread this infection is part of my passion, and to share what I have experienced is part of my diversion. I’m a creative director with an eye to play for fashion, a lifestyle observer with verbal skill through graphic and digital art, an illustrator with an edge, a versatile artist both in commercial and non commercial areas, and media frenzy.

 

I have received a scholarship to pursue my degree in fashion design at LaSalle International College in Singapore. And since graduated, I have been back to Jakarta and revolutionized the nation's illustration scene after I discovered my digital vector drawing technique by working with such prestigious publications as Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Female, and Esquire.

 

At the same time I worked as a fashion design program director and instructor at LaSalle International College Jakarta for over a decade, I have also been advertisement graphic designer and illustrator for Nestle, Sampoerna A Mild, Sony Music, Nokia, and Schweppes on my freelance basis. I had my weekly style column for the Sunday Edition of The Jakarta Post before I became a fashion director for I-Magazine Bali and been busy for various publication fashion shoot and styling since.

 

At present time, I work and live between Jakarta and Bali where I teach illustration, digital design and fashion communicaton at Binus Northumbria Design School in Jakarta and freelance creative director in Bali working directly with high reputation fashion & lifestyle clientele such as Milo's, Uluwatu Lace, Lulu Yasmine, Rob Peetom, Nagicia, Hatten Wines, Bali Fashion Parade, Conrad Bali, Dash Hotel Bali, and the likes of it.

 

My multidimensional skills covered creative design & presentation for advertisements, digital collage illustration, digital imaging, graphic design, magazine articles, photo shoots, fashion shows & fashion education.
